Sitting On a Story
1. My Bench The bench I chose to visit is on the Spirit Trail at Seylynn Park , North Vancouver. I chose to walk this path because of its significance to me. For the past 2 years, the Spirit Trail has been an outlet for me, a way to clear my mind and relax and re-connect with myself when I need to . The trail is right next to the pre-school I went to as a toddler . I used to walk there as a toddler with my pre-school and summer camps until midway through elementary school, when the path went under construction, and I lost touch with it. During high school, I developed a love for mountain biking and often went up Fromme Mountain. When I would finish my rides , I ro de all the way down to the path’s area until I discovered the path had re-opened. Ever since then I have made sure to walk at least once a week on the path to main tain a connection with it and firm it as my safe space to walk.
